Where Are the Feminists Now? Another Example of Misguided Feminism
You may ask why I left out the United States. There is one simple reason: we haven't faced such issues to the extent Canada, Australia, and the United Kingdom have, thus far. I attribute it to a stroke of luck, and I doubt that it will hold out much longer. Then again, we have our own citizens actively seeking to prevent military recruiting during a time of war (using violence no less). We need to start by charging them with treason. Is it any wonder why 80% of the population believes that we are on the wrong track? There is no doubt in my mind. If the Democrats plan on using our misery for political gain, well, they have another thing coming.

Speaking for Australia, yes have had a lot of immigration. Until now though, apart from that, we've had excellent political leadership, but since the (leftist) Labor government took over in November last year, things have been going from bad to worse.
I do agree that America has always been a bit freer in most areas, but I also believe that this is about to radically change (and has already begun as we speak).
The world is going through sweeping changes overnight and I'm not sure that we in the west even begin to be ready for it.
I fully agree with you. It is not looking good here. McCain seems, to me at least, to be a better choice than most Conservatives think. The thing is, I'm not sure if he has much of a chance. Then again, we have a history of writing him off. I'm truly scared of what will happen if Obama or Clinton are elected.
Here in Michigan, we elected a very Liberal Canadian governor in 2002. I remember it well (she's still our governor), and it seemed as though Michigan fell apart overnight. Of course, she blamed everything on her Republican predecessor. It was sickening on how she used what he did in office to gain even greater control here. Of course, she packaged it as there was "no choice." It killed the business environment here and really hurt education, even though most people in the education field voted for the likes of her. I could go on and on.
I hate to say this, but Michigan appears to be a predictor for what is about to happen in the US. Our economy in Michigan is much worse than is let on (in certain sectors - somehow, our casinos manage to do very well).
