Misguided Feminism

Mark Steyn is exactly right when he condemns so-called Western "feminists" for not fighting the real oppression of women around the world. In his piece The West's Two-Tier Sisterhood, he described perfectly the hypocrisy of many in the supposed "women's movement." I've encountered many examples of the likes he describes so well in his article. It saddens me that they can't even see their hypocrisy. Do we still have issues in the West? Of course we do. It is just that there is so much more at stake than what is currently being discussed.

After reading Mark Steyn's work, I came across the truly appalling remarks of Nick Erikson on Curly's Corner Shop, the blog! Don't let the cute name of the blog throw you, he is shedding light on the current politics of the United Kingdom. It is far from pretty. I don't know how anyone could call rape not "such a terrible physical ordeal," but Curly calls Erikson on it. It is truly disgusting.

“Women enjoy sex, so rape cannot be such a terrible physical ordeal”

Lindsey, I saw that post over there as well. It's unbelievable that a public figure would make these kinds of comments. What a lowlife! The BNP has had a couple of scandals like this. The former ones related to white power. It's a shame that that party can't seem to keep out the undesirable, Neanderthal types because the other Brit parties are really weak on the Islam issue. The Mark Steyne article sounds awesome.

It is unbelievable. I'm glad that there are still people who see through all of the PC BS and document what is really going on (you, Curly, etc.).

Sometimes I feel pretty isolated to it all living in rural northern Michigan, but I'm under no illusions. It is going to come to the US sooner rather than later (I'm frightened as to what will happen if we have a President Obama or Clinton).

By the way, I really enjoy reading your blog. I've long wanted to visit Australia.
